Do you have a setting on your camera that allows you to do 16 shots in -1/0/+1? Or how did you do in manually.

and I guess was it really necessary?

I do have a function that allows me to shot -1/0/+1 in a row ... then changing the focus and doing the next.
The 16 shots are for the pano and really necessary for it ^^;
