Description

the past, the present and the future, which road to take is up to you

this one took me nearly one whole year to complete. there are some memories bound to this trip to Amsterdam, which came up whenever I started processing this image. I had to make some hard decisions there and nearly lost my interest in photography after this trip. finishing this little 'project' of mine is also a a bit of a closure for me, but I wasn't ready for it until now

It's very, very had to come across a picture of Amsterdam, or any other town, that is so beautiful and captivating than this. Though there are many photographs of the capital of Holland, this is truly the most beautiful, and you do the old town justice.

I wish I remembered the exact location where you've taken this, for the location seems familiar to me.

On with the critique, and yet I have none but this: please do mind the horizon a bit better next time. I have the faintest idea it's not entirely straight, though it doesn't actually matters. It would have made the picture more finished, but it doesn't take away the impact and beauty of this picture. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Yet I'm so glad you haven't taken a picture of the channels of Amsterdam. Equally beautiful, yet so boring, for everyone does that.

Thus you've shown originality, and with the panorama of these streets, you've shown you know your techniques.

From a proud Dutchie, I congratulate you, the impact is extraordinary, especially from a tourist who captured the old, the present and the future so beautifully as you've done! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>
